Biography
Lauren was raised in Louisville, KY and received their B. S. in chemistry at Murray State University where they worked with Professor Kevin M. Miller studying imidazolium-based thermosets synthesized via thiol-ene click chemistry. At UW–Madison, Lauren is excited to study how small-molecule organic chemistry can be leveraged in post-polymer functionalization to create novel materials. Outside of the lab Lauren loves to hike, waste time on Wikipedia, and play with their two cats (Chef and Goose).
